Job description

This well regarded Contractor specialise in the Construction & Delivery of Major Rail projects across NSW and interstate. As of the amount of projects they currently have in delivery coupled with the large pipeline of future projects confirmed, they have identified an urgent need for an experienced Project Engineer to assist in delivery of a major rail traction substation upgrade. 
 
I am actively looking to speak to Site Engineers from an Electrical background who have a strong level of experience working on projects within the Rail Industry.
 
Applicants should preferably possess experience across the following areas:
  
- The ability to manage the Construction of Rail Traction Substation projects 
- Demonstrated experience assisting work throughout different stages of construction, of High Voltage Substation projects
- Experience working with Senior Project Engineers & Project Managers on costing, scoping and planning for the project.
- Project experience in preparing necessary documentation including safety plans, environmental plans, IWP, ITP and quality plans, cost estimates, schedules to ensure all projects are developed in accordance with correct policies and standards.
- The ability to work hand in hand with the client on all electrical engineering matters
- The technical ability to lease with the design teams to review substation plans 
 
Necessary criteria include:
  
- Minimum of 2 years experience in HV construction sector
- Experience Substation projects in the rail sector would be an advantage
- Expereicne in planning and delivering during rail possession works 
- Demonstrated experience of working independently and as part of a team
