This is a key position working with the Project Management team of a prominent council that delivers key strategic, investment and development projects. This team oversee the acquisition and development of property and significant assets
Position
Reporting directly into the Project Manager, the Contracts Administrator is responsible for assisting the Property Development team in the management of multifaceted projects related to property development portfolio and investment program. This includes:
The key focus for this position is ensuring the incumbent understands the limitations surrounding procurement in the government sector, and how to navigate the contractual aspect.

Position
Reporting directly into the Project Manager, the Contracts Administrator is responsible for assisting the Property Development team in the management of multifaceted projects related to property development portfolio and investment program. This includes:
- Provide effective administrative function for all projects
- Efficiently control all aspects of contract administration through the use of procedures to minimise risk exposure
- Ensure the accurate reporting, forecasting and monitoring of project finances
- Administer contractor, developer, and consultant contracts
The key focus for this position is ensuring the incumbent understands the limitations surrounding procurement in the government sector, and how to navigate the contractual aspect.
Ideal background
- Construction Management degree or related
- Must have experience and thorough understanding of Government Procurement either state or local
- Both head contractor and clientside experience is an advantage
- Must have good knowledge of procurement methodologies
- Working knowledge of government processes and procedures
