The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Working Site Supervisor to join a highly regarded and established commercial interiors and shopfitting contractor delivering premium projects across the Sydney metropolitan area and nationally.
The business specialises in high-end retail, commercial, airport retail, medical and hospitality fitouts, delivering high-quality interior environments across a diverse range of projects.
This is a genuinely hands-on Site Supervisor position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the physical delivery of projects while also taking responsibility for supervising trades and subcontractors.
You will spend approximately 50% of your time supervising and coordinating trades and 50% hands-on with installation works, depending on the size and requirements of each project.

• Medical facilities
• Corporate interiors
• Bespoke shopfitting and interior construction
• Refurbishments and complete store fitouts

You will work across varied, high-quality projects where quality, attention to detail, programme and presentation are critical.
  
The Role
Working closely with the Project Management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects on site.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising trades, subcontractors and site personnel
• Coordinating daily site activities and sequencing works
• Leading and directing site teams
• Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and quality requirements
• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings and specifications
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and subcontractors
• Liaising with Project Managers, clients, contractors and suppliers
• Carrying out site measurements and setting out where required
• Identifying and resolving site issues
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Ensuring sites are kept safe, clean and organised
• Managing defects, rectification works and project handovers
• Assisting with installation and fitout works
• Completing hands-on joinery, carpentry and general fitout installation as required
• Taking ownership of the site and ensuring works progress efficiently

  
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience as a:

• Site Supervisor
• Working Supervisor
• Site Foreman
• Shopfitting Foreman
• Leading Hand
• Senior Installer

You will ideally come from a background in commercial fitout, shopfitting, joinery, carpentry or interior construction.
You will need to be comfortable both leading trades and getting hands-on yourself.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience supervising construction, fitout or shopfitting projects
• Strong understanding of site coordination and construction processes
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple trades and competing priorities
• A practical, hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Strong commitment to quality and safety
• A professional approach when dealing with clients and subcontractors
• Relevant trade qualifications are highly desirable

Remuneration & Benefits

• $50 per hour + super or $117,000 salary + super, based on up to 48 hours per week
• Hours worked above 48 per week paid at $60 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for the first 2 hours, then double time thereafter
• Saturday overtime paid at applicable overtime rates
• Night shift paid at 1.5x
• Company vehicle provided valued at approximately $10,000
• Fuel, parking and tolls covered for work-related travel
• Company-paid mobile phone
• Full set of power tools provided
• Site/travel allowance included in the package
• 20 days annual leave
• 10 days personal leave
• Weekly pay
• No RDOs

  
Working Hours
The role may require work across Monday to Sunday, including night shifts, depending on project requirements.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
