Based in a modern logistics facility in Perth’s south-east, this role is responsible for overseeing refrigerated fleet operations and local distribution activities. You will lead a small team of coordinators (3 direct reports) and manage a fleet of approximately 20 trucks, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across AM and PM shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with OH&S and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Oversee daily transport operations, including fleet performance, scheduling, and freight coordination
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and compliance processes
- Ensure all staff and contractors are inducted, trained, and operating safely
- Maintain equipment, asset compliance, and damage reporting standards
- Ensure correct loading, handling, and protection of freight
- Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and performance
- Manage rostering, leave planning, and facilitate regular toolbox meetings
- Support team development through mentoring and leadership
- Proven experience in transport or logistics operations, including a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of fleet operations and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
- Solid knowledge of OH&S and Chain of Responsibility compliance
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and strong Excel capability
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport, or similar (desirable)
