The Position:
 
The company offer the full spectrum of systems and safety assurance consulting services.  As part of this team, the role covers a broad range of skills relating to system and safety assurance. 
 
In particular, the role of the Systems Engineering / Safety Assurance Engineer includes works associated with systems engineering, requirements engineering, safety assurance and RAMS across a variety of Light, Metro and Freight Rail projects.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
 

• You may be responsible for producing works associated with systems and safety assurance under supervision. This includes:
• - Systems Engineering
• - Requirements Engineering and Management
• - Systems Integration
• - RAM
• - Interface Management
• - Safety Assurance
• You may be responsible for executing responsibilities as outline in the companies Quality Management System
• You will be required to work on defined tasks or projects under supervision
• You will be responsible for managing your own workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
• You will be responsible for providing information in an articulate and organised manner, following the companies established processes and procedures
• You will be expected to work under supervision within a defined area of responsibility on systems engineering or safety assurance design. This may include being responsible for specific parts of an external design project
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining your own CPD record that is aligned with Engineers Australia or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field of engineering
• An understanding of the following systems and safety assurance areas will be desired:
  • o Systems Engineering
  • o Requirements Definition and Analysis
  • o System Architecture
  • o Systems Integration
  • o Interface Management
  • o RAM
