Job description
Our client is a State Government Advisory organisation who supports local and state government agencies to deliver infrastructure and investment initiatives by providing expert advisory services.
They are looking to engage a Surveyor - either a certified or with a building background for an initial 6 month contract based in Sydney or Wollongong.
This team focuses on surveying new and existing schools and so will require a WWCC. You will be expected to travel to a portfolio of schools based on your location.

Please find below the full key accountabilities this role:
- Complete a range of field surveys, collecting data to a high standard to meet client requirements of time, cost and quality;
- Deliver a range of CAD products and undertake field data capture for assigned projects
- Develop and maintain a sound capability in modern CAD and other spatial information systems and maintain knowledge and understanding of current and future industry trends and practices
- With support, prepare and provide clear and thorough reporting and other documentation to senior staff and clients which informs and provides accountability;
- Contribute to resolution of issues to client satisfaction;
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of industry trends and practices and Departmental obligations and apply these to all outcomes;
- Under the direction of senior staff, liaise with clients to understand the business needs and technical issues/concerns of clients, provide solutions and obtain feedback on the services provided;
- Relate any technical, safety or performance issues to the project supervisor;
- Perform work within a safe work environment as per legislation and contribute to advances in work safety;
- Experience with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Access
- Ability to do long hours walking school sites, holding Tablets for long periods of time
- Ability to use Leica Disto for measuring distances
- Good attention to detail, counting assets within a space
- Experience in reading plans
- Use of PDF Markup software
- Experience in Microstation for Drafting of data
