SUBSTATION ELECTRICIANS

We are currently seeking experienced Substation Electricians to join a project in regional NSW.

This is an opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest and most significant high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects.

THE ROLE As a Substation Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment across the Substation project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installation of switchboards, control panels and switchgear
• Installation and termination of cabling
• Installation of earthing systems
• Installation of transformers and associated substation equipment
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Cable testing and fault finding
• Electrical testing and quality inspections
• Identifying and rectifying installation defects
• Working alongside engineers, supervisors, contractors and project management
• Maintaining a high standard of electrical workmanship and site safety
• Ensuring all work complies with project, electrical and safety requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR To be considered, you will have:

• Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current Electrical Licence
• Construction White Card
• Working Platform / EWP High Risk Work Licence
• Current LV Rescue
• Previous experience working on substations, HV infrastructure or major electrical construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Additional high-risk work licences and HV experience will be highly regarded.
