The Project
A major civil infrastructure project based in Gunnedah, NSW is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. The role sits across an earthworks and concrete package of works and is available for an immediate start.
Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate, making this an accessible opportunity for those based outside the region.

The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the project quality management system across earthworks and concrete scopes. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and monitoring the Project Quality Plan across earthworks and concrete works
- Conducting and coordinating inspections, hold points and witness points in line with ITPs
- Reviewing and approving material submittals, NCRs and corrective actions
- Liaising with subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure works comply with specifications and standards
- Maintaining accurate quality records, registers and documentation
- Supporting internal and external audits as required
- Demonstrated experience in a Quality Engineer role on civil infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of earthworks and/or concrete construction processes
- Experience working within a certified quality management system (ISO 9001)
- Proficient in ITP development, NCR management and hold/witness point coordination
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
- Cert IV or Diploma in Quality Auditing well regarded
- Available to commit to a site-based, FIFO or drive-in/drive-out role in regional NSW
- Competitive daily/hourly rate — commensurate with experience
- ASAP start, 6-month initial contract

- Work on a live, active civils project in a hands-on quality role
