The Opportunity
An established and growing commercial and architectural joinery business is expanding its Sydney operations and is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, Senior Site Supervisor, Foreman or Project Supervisor to take ownership of larger commercial joinery projects and site teams.
You’ll manage the overall site delivery from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with builders, subcontractors and the company's project, design and manufacturing teams.

The Role
You’ll take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your projects on site, including:

• Managing larger site teams and multiple subcontractors
• Planning and coordinating daily and weekly site activities
• Managing programme, sequencing and installation schedules
• Liaising with builders, Project Managers and other stakeholders
• Reading and interpreting architectural and shop drawings
• Coordinating joinery installation and site logistics
• Managing deliveries, access, materials and site requirements
• Monitoring progress and proactively resolving site issues
• Managing quality, defects and rectification works
• Coordinating closely with factory, design and project teams
• Managing variations and additional site works
• Conducting site meetings and providing project updates
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality and company standards
• Taking full ownership of site delivery through to completion

  
About You
You’ll be a confident construction professional with a strong understanding of commercial joinery, shopfitting, fit-out or interiors.
You may currently be a: Site Manager / Senior Site Manager / Site Supervisor / Senior Site Supervisor / Construction Supervisor / Foreman / Project Supervisor / Shopfitting or Fit-Out Site Manager
Ideally, you’ll have:

• Proven experience managing commercial projects and larger site teams
• Strong joinery, shopfitting, fit-out or interiors experience
• A solid trade or construction background
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
• Strong understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
• Ability to read architectural and shop drawings
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong leadership and problem-solving ability
• Good understanding of WHS and site compliance
• The ability to take ownership and work autonomously
