Site Manager Required | Commercial Joinery, Furniture Installs & Interior Fit-Out | Sydney T1 & T2 Projects | Full Time & Permanent | $110K - $140K + Super (DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of high-end commercial joinery and interior fit-out packages across major construction projects throughout Sydney.
This role will suit a hands-on construction professional with strong experience in interior trades, joinery installation, or fit-out delivery, who can confidently manage site operations, subcontractors, sequencing, quality control, and safety across fast-paced commercial environments.
You will be working on premium corporate offices, government buildings, healthcare facilities, education projects, and major commercial refurbishments, including high-profile tenancy upgrades and lobby repositioning works.
About the Work
Projects typically include the delivery and installation of architectural joinery and interior packages such as:
- Reception counters and feature desks
- Boardroom and executive joinery
- Tea points, kitchenettes, and breakout areas
- Wall panelling (timber, acoustic, decorative)
- Ceiling features and bulkhead integration
- Banquette seating and booth seating
- Credenzas, storage systems, and custom furniture
- Lobby upgrades and tenancy fit outs
- End-of-trip and amenity spaces
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across commercial joinery and fit-out projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, installers, and labour teams
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct and oversee site set-out, installation sequencing, and trade coordination
- Maintain strict adherence to WHS requirements and site safety systems
- Monitor quality assurance and defect management processes
- Liaise with builders, project managers, architects, and site supervisors
- Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reporting, and documentation
- Manage deliveries, materials handling, plant access, and logistics
- Attend site meetings and coordinate short-term programming (2–6-week lookaheads)
- Drive efficient workflow and problem-solving on site
Project Environment
You will be working across high-profile commercial and institutional projects including:
- Premium corporate office fitouts (legal, finance, consulting)
- Commercial tower lobby refurbishments and repositioning works
- Government and public sector buildings
- Healthcare and hospital interior upgrades
- Education and university facilities
- Large-scale tenancy fit-outs and base-building upgrades
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Trade qualification in Carpentry, Joinery or related building discipline
- Strong background in commercial interiors, fit-out, or joinery installation
- Proven experience managing or supervising site-based works
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings
- Strong understanding of interior sequencing and trade coordination
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Strong focus on quality control and defect-free delivery
- Solid understanding of WHS compliance and site safety systems
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
Highly Regarded Experience
- Commercial joinery installation experience
- Exposure to architectural or bespoke joinery packages
- Experience working on live environment fit outs
- Background with suspended ceilings, partitions, or internal fit-out trades
- Experience in hospital, airport, or large commercial projects
- Exposure to Tier 1/Tier 2 builders or structured construction environments
