The Project & The Role
They have recently secured an intricate $10M healthcare refurbishment located just outside the Brisbane CBD. This live-environment project requires meticulous planning, high-level stakeholder management, and a sharp eye for staging and delivery sequence.
As the Site Manager, you will take full ownership of the site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a high-performing site team and act as the key point of contact for subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Live-Environment Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations within a sensitive, operational healthcare environment, minimizing disruption to hospital staff and patients.
- Program & Subcontractor Drive: Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors and suppliers to maintain momentum and hit strict project milestones.
- Safety Leadership: Uphold our uncompromising, incident-and-injury-free safety culture, ensuring full compliance with our federal safety accreditations.
- Design & Buildability: Work closely with the Project Manager and design teams to troubleshoot complex structural or staging challenges proactively.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional, collaborative relationships with hospital infrastructure teams, client representatives, and internal project stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Health Experience: A solid track record as a Site Manager delivering commercial construction or refurbishment projects, with explicit experience in live healthcare or institutional environments being highly regarded.
- Trade or Tertiary Background: A relevant trade background (Carpentry) or a tertiary qualification in Construction Management/Building Science.
- Live-Site Expertise: Deep understanding of the complexities associated with live-site services cut-overs, dust/noise containment, and infection control protocols.
- Leadership & Drive: A natural leader who motivates subcontractors, commands respect on-site, and drives the program with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle high-level client interfaces smoothly.
