Job description

A respected commercial builder is seeking a highly capable No.1 Site Manager to lead delivery of a large-scale industrial project in the Canberra region.

This project involves the construction of a 6,000sqm industrial facility, with key packages including bulk earthworks, concrete structures, steel portal frame erection, and associated civil works.
 
With an official start date set for July 2026, you will take full ownership of the site from mobilisation through to completion.
 
The Role
  • Lead all on-site operations as the No.1 Site Manager
  • Drive program and sequencing through effective look-ahead planning
  • Coordinate major trades across concrete, civil, and structural steel packages
  • Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate execution on site
  • Maintain strict WHS, QA, and compliance standards
  • Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and daily productivity
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, and stakeholders
About You
  • Proven experience delivering $10M+ industrial or structural projects
  • Strong background in concrete works, steel portal frames, and civil construction
  • Ability to run a project start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Confident in programming, look-ahead schedules, and trade coordination
  • Strong leadership presence with a focus on safety and quality outcomes
  • Highly competent reading and interpreting construction drawings
