Opportunity

A nationally recognised head contract builder is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a premium commercial fit out & refurbishment project located in the heart of the CBD (Collins St).

This is a 4-month minimum contract role where you will take full ownership as the lead Site Manager, delivering a circa $1.5m multi-level spec suite upgrade and fit out.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager with a head contractor
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or related field
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Trade background (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) highly desirable
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the fit out project, ensuring delivery within budget, timeline, and client specifications
  • Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth project execution
  • Monitor site progress and quality, conducting regular inspections and resolving issues promptly
  • Lead, manage, and motivate site teams while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
