Site Engineer required to work on a range of exciting railway projects in Sydney.

Previous Track / Perway experience is absolutely essential.

The Position:
Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for a scope of works across the track, your responsibilities will include;

• Ensure the technical matters associated with project works are compliant with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals standards and SQE Risk Management processes
• Monitor the Project Plan and record progress against the program
• Ensure Site Diaries are completed on a daily basis.
• Resolve engineering issues as they arise
• Manage the administration of Subcontractor packages
• Generate and follow up with close out of Requests for Information (RFI's)
• Participate in milestone design reviews as required
• Review adequacy of all documentation for construction purposes including verification of standards, codes and specifications
• People and stakeholder management skills
• Skills in coaching and mentoring and provide direction to employees and workforce
• Financial management skills including demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs and meeting budgets
• Construction management and specific technical skills base relevant to program of work and disciple area
• Effective problem solving techniques and skills especially as it relates to delivery of outcomes
• Presentation skills, e.g. facilitating team meetings and engaging groups to achieve outcomes
• Experience in analysing and reporting on project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance
