Site Engineer - Road Works | Day/Night Shifts | Western Sydney

CGC Recruitment is partnering with a leading principal contractor to source an experienced Site Engineer for an active road project in Western Sydney. This is a short-term contract engagement offering immediate start for the right candidate.
 
The Role
You'll be embedded with the site team across a mixed day/night shift roster, supporting delivery of road construction works across a fast-paced project environment.

• Day and night shifts across a Monday-Friday roster
• Night shifts run approximately 7:00pm - 4:30am, occurring 2-3 times per week
• Day shifts covering standard site hours on remaining days
• Immediate or near-immediate start

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site activities in line with project program and design intent
• Liaise with subcontractors, surveyors, and construction crews during shift hours
• Monitor works for compliance with drawings, specifications, and ITPs
• Complete daily site diaries, shift reports, and NCR documentation as required
• Coordinate with project management team on program updates and RFI responses
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the SWMS and site safety requirements

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in civil infrastructure, ideally road or highway projects
• Comfortable working night shift - this is a genuine requirement for this engagement
• Exposure to principal contractor delivery environments
• Strong documentation and reporting capability
• Full working rights in Australia
