Job description

We are looking for a Senior Project Officer to join client is a state-wide Government organisation within the Service sector. ASAP

  • 5month contract - with the view to extend
  • Pay Rate: $550 - $650 per day plus super
  • Location: WFH until further notice (flexible ongoing)

Primary purpose of the role
You will be working with small, dynamic team within the Office of Responsible Gambling to develop and implement new service offerings as part of the broader gambling treatment and support service system.
The Office of Responsible Gambling leads the development of responsible gambling strategy and public policy advice to the NSW Government. The Office develops and implements programs and initiatives, as part of a strategic approach that supports responsible gambling and prevents and minimises the risk of gambling related harm in the community.

The ideal candidate has tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (such as law, psychology, social work or sociology) and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience has experience as a project manager who can respond to changing priorities and work well in a fast-paced environment. Double vaccinated 


Key accountabilities
  • Design and implement various service offerings and enhancements for gambling treatment and support model across NSW.
  • Oversee project involving co-design and recommendations as to how service offerings could be embedded into gambling treatment and support system across NSW.
  • Development of an evaluation framework for the implemented service offerings, including tracking and measuring effectiveness.
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues that have the potential to impact on the delivery of service design components and implement mechanisms to minimise impact to project delivery and organisational reputation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring keystakeholders are engaged early, well informed and supported.
  • Oversee the development of change communication plan for service offerings to implement service offerings.
  • Participate in and oversee stakeholder engagement initiatives such as workshops, focus groups or interviews during development of service offerings.
  • Preparation of briefing notes and related project/internal documentation.
