The Details: 

Location: Parramatta and WFH

Hours per week: 40 

rate: $70 P/h + super

Grade: 9/10 

The Role:

• Design, implement and coordinate comprehensive projects that deliver effective business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs by using project management methodologies and processes to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.
• Cost control including budget management, processing invoices, and variation management.
• Monitor milestone achievement and report regularly on the performance of the project.
• Provide regular reporting updates to the Program Manager/Coordinator.
• Understand and monitor Project performance to report on project delivery against time, budget and quality standards.
• Ensure that planned work is delivered to contract standards and to the quality standards of the AHO.
• Day to day responsibilities for contract management and resourcing.
• Plan and manage the Quality Assurance process.
• Establish collaborative relationships with Aboriginal Community Housing Providers, Management Providers, and local communities.
• Oversee and monitor property inspections and safety audits.
• Communicate with stakeholders to identify operational and performance issues and be better placed to recommend solutions to AHO management.
• Identify, respond to, and rectify reasons for non-compliance of contractors so as to rectify these issues.
• Develop and recommend mitigation strategies that work to achieve all the stakeholders’ goals.
• Report to AHO management on performance trends and performance issues that focus on QA improvement.
• Work collaboratively with AHO contractors to resolve service delivery and quality issues.
• Investigate, analyze and report on Program delivery and audit data.
• Understand and implement education strategies that raise the profile of AHO through engagement with management providers and tenants.
• Implement an AHO Risk Management plan.
• Ensure that communication is pro-active and solution-oriented and thus facilitates the success of the project.
• Manage, plan and implement projects, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and monitoring budgets to ensure successful project milestones are met.
• Prepare a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, Briefing Notes, budgets, and discussion papers to manage the flow of information.
• Provide advice and support to project team members on undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required to support and facilitate effective project management and implementation.
• Seek out and actively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships based on open and regular discussions and feedback, to ensure an effective interface between program development, planning, service design, and policy implementation.
• Carries a high level of autonomy in setting own priorities, and those of any staff/project staff supervised, in alignment with management.
• Maintains a degree of independence to develop a suitable approach in managing the workload.
• Determines own actions undertaken, within government and legislative policies, and for ensuring quality control in the implementation of own, and any staff supervised workload.
• As necessary, consults with management on a suitable course of action in matters that are sensitive, high-risk, or business-critical, or for those issues that have far-reaching implications with respect to resources or quality advice provision.
• Requires some travel to sites for safety and QA inspections.
