Senior Project Manager - Tier 2 Contractor | Data Centre (Early Works Package $150M)

This highly regarded Tier 2 multi-disciplinary contractor has experienced consistent growth since its inception in the 2000s, building a strong reputation across building and civil infrastructure, and complex project delivery.
With a solid portfolio of secured work across major clients the business has recently secured the early works package ($150M) on a landmark data centre development valued in excess of $2B.
Due to this major project win, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of this critical early works package. You will be supported by a highly experienced and collaborative leadership team with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the $150M early works package, overseeing all aspects of delivery from planning through to execution.
This is a high-profile role where you will play a key part in setting the project up for success, managing key stakeholders, and driving programme, cost, and quality outcomes.
You will work closely with senior leadership and interface with the client regularly, making your ability to build and maintain strong relationships essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a $150M early works package on a major data centre project
- Manage programme, budget, and commercial performance
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Engineers and Site Engineers
- Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor management
- Oversee risk management, variations, and reporting
- Ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations and milestones
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement across all levels
- Construction-related degree (Engineering or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager / Project Manager on major infrastructure or complex construction projects ($100M+)
- Experience delivering early works, bulk earthworks, civil packages, or enabling works highly regarded
- Previous Tier 2 contractor experience essential
- Strong commercial and financial management capability
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing project teams
- Excellent stakeholder and client-facing skills
- Collaborative, down-to-earth team environment
- Strong leadership with a focus on mentorship and career development
- Work closely with an experienced Operations Manager (30+ years industry experience)
