A new opportunity has opened for a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role on a $250m+ student accommodation development in the heart of Perth CBD. This is a flagship project with significant structural complexity, offering exposure to a high-performing site team and a well-resourced delivery environment.

This role will suit an experienced Project Engineer ready to step up, or an established Senior Project Engineer looking to take ownership on a major build with a strong pipeline of future work.

The Role

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to drive the delivery of key structural packages, with a particular focus on structural steel coordination and installation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and coordinating structural steel packages from procurement through to installation and completion
• Driving programme outcomes, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget
• Overseeing subcontractor performance, including progress tracking and quality assurance
• Leading technical coordination across design, engineering and site teams
• Managing RFIs, shop drawings and design documentation
• Ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards across all works
• Supporting commercial outcomes alongside the CA team, including variations and cost tracking
• Building strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• 5–10+ years’ experience within commercial construction (Tier 1 or Tier 2 background preferred)
• Proven experience delivering structural steel packages on large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and programme management
• Confident communicator with the ability to lead coordination across multiple stakeholders
• Solutions-focused, with a proactive and hands-on approach to project delivery
