An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading specialist subcontractor on a 7-month contract, commencing immediately.
 
Our client is a nationally recognised contractor delivering complex and bespoke engineering solutions across ground engineering, slope stabilisation, rock bolting and micropiling. Following the award of a significant new project, they are seeking a commercially focused Senior Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the works.
 
Working on a 5/2 DIDO roster, this position offers an excellent day rate, accommodation and a fuel card, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to work on a technically challenging and high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all senior project engineering functions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee planning, programming and project delivery to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Drive commercial outcomes across the project, with a strong emphasis on Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, contract administration and project reporting.
  • Coordinate with site teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.
About You
 
To be successful, you will have:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in civil construction, ideally in a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering slope stabilisation projects (essential).
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing project commercial obligations, EOTs, variations and contractual claims.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing project team.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
