Our client are a Government Transport Organisation who have a first class reputation for building and maintaining effective railway networks. They are currently involved with one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in NSW and with internal resources engaged on the necessary upgrade of a number of existing assets a need has been identified for specialist contract to assist in the delivery of this major project.

One position they are currently looking to recruit is for a Senior Construction Engineer to join the major projects team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for reviewing designs, construction methodologies & technical reviews as well as cost tracking and supporting commercial teams. You will additionally be responsible for projects safety and environmental factors. The role will be primarily office based but will involve travel to site once construction commences.  

We are actively looking to speak with tertiary qualified engineers who have a demonstrated level of construction experience in a rail environment preferably on a major project. Applicants will be expected to be an expert in their particular field and able to work well with minimal supervision and must have very strong interpersonal skills as stakeholder engagement twill be key.
