We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major commercial construction project in its final delivery phase. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing professional with proven experience on large-scale projects valued at $500M+ and a background working with a top-tier builder.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project completion, managing critical interfaces, and ensuring successful handover outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Engineer on commercial construction projects valued at $500M+
• Previous experience working with a top-tier construction company
• Strong experience delivering projects through the final stages of construction through to completion and handover
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and site teams effectively
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies, QA, safety, and programme management
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the delivery of works during the final phase of a major commercial project
• Drive programme outcomes to ensure milestones and completion targets are achieved
• Manage subcontractor performance, sequencing, and interface coordination
• Oversee quality assurance processes, inspections, defect management, and close-out activities
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and contractual obligations
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site leadership team to resolve construction and delivery issues
• Monitor project progress, reporting, forecasting, and risk management
• Coordinate commissioning, authority inspections, and handover documentation
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
• Support successful practical completion and project handover activities
