Senior Project Engineer - FIFO 2/1
Major Defence Infrastructure Project | $40M Concrete Package
A well-established specialist contractor with over 30 years of success delivering end-to-end concrete solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a landmark Defence infrastructure upgrade.
With capabilities spanning civil, mining, commercial, and industrial sectors, this contractor delivers complex concrete works including survey/set-out, earthworks, reinforcing, formwork, tilt panels, airfield pavement concrete, and full concrete place and finish. Having recently secured a major Defence base upgrade, they are now looking to strengthen their project delivery team.
The Role
Working on a 2/1 FIFO roster (from any major airport), you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a $40M concrete package over a 15-month program.

The Role
Working on a 2/1 FIFO roster (from any major airport), you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a $40M concrete package over a 15-month program.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day project engineering functions
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Planning and tracking project progress against program
- Ensuring compliance with QA, safety, and contractual requirements
- Driving efficient delivery of self-performed concrete works
- Mentoring and supporting a Project Engineer
- Assisting through all phases from project inception to final handover
To be considered, you will bring:
- Minimum 10 years' post-graduate experience in civil/construction engineering
- Proven experience delivering self-perform concrete packages on major projects
- Background working with a Tier 2/3 contractor or specialist subcontractor
- Strong technical knowledge across concrete works (formwork, reo, placement, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience mentoring junior engineers
- A commitment to seeing projects through from start to completion
