Our client is state Government organisation within the Transport sector who have recently identified an urgent need for a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to join the organisation on a long term contract basis.

You will be primarily responsible the improvement of the reliability of the Electrical Assets while providing a high level of engineering advice and support to the maintenance operations manager and electrical engineering manager ensuring the technical integrity of electrical assets, compliance to standards, identification and control or key risks associated to the electrical discipline.

In addition to this you will provide technical engineering support and supervision of Routine Maintenance delivery and Identifying and resolving technical issues associated with coordinating and managing maintenance work. You will be also expected to provide specialist electrical maintenance engineering support and coaching to the Maintenance Operations Manager (and their team) and liaise with the Regional Electrical Engineer and Maintenance Operations Managers to assist them in the planning of maintenance priorities, address reliability issues and develop maintenance strategies.

We are actively looking to speak with tertiary qualified Electrical Engineers with a high level working knowledge of electrical distribution networks and technical understanding of rail traction systems. You will be also expected to demonstrate a high level of understanding of maintenance engineering principles and their application to the maintenance and operation of electrical networks and rail traction systems.
