Our client are a state government organisation within the Transport sector who are in urgent need of a Senior Design Engineer to work on a long term contract basis within the Engineering and Systems Integrity Division. 

The role will involve providing Electrical Design expertise in HV and DC Traction Systems.  Produce electrical designs, including assisting with the production of complex multi discipline design projects, and provide best practice engineering advice and services to Sydney Trains and external clients in order to maximise the safety and reliability of relevant electrical systems infrastructure and assets throughout the asset lifecycle.

Reporting to Senior Management some of the responsibilities will include, developing engineering standards, policies, procedures and instructions to ensure they are fit for purpose to support the safe, reliable and cost effective management of Sydney Trains assets through their life cycles. As well as providing technical guidance to the design team, in the production of accurate electrical design drawings, that meet Sydney Trains quality and safety standards.

We are actively looking to speak with senior level electrical engineers who have a proven background and technical expertise in the design of HV and DC traction systems. The role is an immediate requirement on a long term contract basis with a 3 year program of work.
