Senior Contract Administrator — Water Infrastructure | Western Sydney | Contract
3 Months | Daily Rate | 4 Days On-Site | Immediate Start
 
About the opportunity
Our client is a leading delivery contractor engaged on a major water infrastructure project in Western Sydney. They are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join their team on a contract basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
This is a site-based role offering a competitive daily rate across an initial 3-month engagement, with potential for extension depending on project requirements.
 
Role details
  • Location: Western Sydney (site-based)
  • Start date: Immediate / ASAP
  • Duration: 3 months (extension possible)
  • Work pattern: 4 days on-site per week
  • Rate: Competitive daily rate (negotiable DOE)
  • Engagement type: Temporary contract (PAYG / PTY welcome)
Key responsibilities
  • Take ownership of all contract administration across the project, including head contract and subcontract obligations
  • Administer contracts in accordance with AS 4000 / AS 4300 or NEC frameworks
  • Lead the management of variations, EOT claims, and dispute resolution processes
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate progress payment claims and payment schedules
  • Oversee the full RFI, submittal, and variation register process
  • Drive cost reporting and forecasting in collaboration with the project manager
  • Provide commercial leadership and guidance to junior CA staff on-site
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and performance on commercial matters
  • Maintain robust contract correspondence and document control standards
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
What you'll bring
  • Significant experience as a Senior CA or CA on major civil infrastructure, water, or utilities projects
  • Deep working knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (AS 4000, AS 4300) and/or NEC
  • Demonstrated ability to lead variation and claims management end-to-end at a senior level
  • Strong background working on the head contractor side with a Tier 1, 2, or 3 delivery contractor
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide commercial direction on a fast-paced site
  • Tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or similar
  • Full working rights in Australia (ABN holders and PTY Ltd contractors welcome)
