Senior Contracts Administrator | Brisbane
The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Contracts Administrator to join our clients Brisbane team who are a national Tier 1 builder. This is a unique strategic appointment where you will initially be based in our office located just outside the CBD for the first six months. During this period, you will be instrumental in the pre-construction and procurement phases, embedding yourself in the project’s DNA before transitioning to the site as one of their major new-start projects hits the delivery phase.

The Projects
You will be working on iconic, large-scale developments that define the Queensland landscape. Our portfolio spans Health, Science, Education, and Infrastructure, with project values typically ranging from $100M to $1B+.
Crucially, you will play a key role in the delivery of Queensland’s future—our client is a primary delivery partner for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games infrastructure program. This includes the early contractor involvement (ECI) and delivery of major stadium and precinct works that will be the centrepiece of the world stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Administration: Manage the Head Contract and Subcontractor agreements from procurement and award through to final account.
  • Commercial Strategy: Lead the procurement process, including scope of work development, tender evaluation, and rigorous negotiation to ensure best-for-project outcomes.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage progress claims, variations, cost-to-complete reporting, and cash flow forecasting for high-value packages.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks while ensuring 100% compliance with statutory requirements and Security of Payment legislation.
  • Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior Contracts Administrators and work closely with the Project Manager to drive commercial performance.
About You
  • Experience: A minimum of 8–10 years in Contract Administration within the Australian Tier 1 or Tier 2 building sector.
  • Project Track Record: Proven experience on major projects ($70M+) across sectors like stadiums, health, or complex infrastructure.
  • Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of various contract forms (e.g., AS4000, Managing Contractor) and proficiency in cost management software.
  • Adaptability: The ability to work effectively in a corporate head office environment before transitioning to the fast-paced nature of an active construction site.
