Our client is expanding their Roads team in Perth and are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to support the delivery of major road infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional WA.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being a technical leader within a collaborative team environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality drafting outcomes across complex infrastructure programs.

The Opportunity You will play a key role in supporting project delivery, strengthening technical capability, and contributing to the continued growth of a high-performing drafting function. Working closely with engineers and project teams, you’ll deliver accurate and efficient drawing packages across major road and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality drafting outputs for major road infrastructure projects across WA
• Prepare detailed drawing packages in line with current industry and road authority standards
• Utilise strong AutoCAD capability to support efficient project delivery and drafting consistency
• Contribute to drafting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate closely with engineers and design teams to deliver accurate documentation with minimal supervision
• Mentor and support junior drafters, helping uplift team capability and drafting standards
• Assist with workflow coordination, project resourcing, and bid support activities
• Contribute to the ongoing development and scalability of the drafting team

About You

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 7+ years’ experience within roads and civil infrastructure drafting environments
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of MRWA drafting standards is essential
• Exposure to drafting automation tools or processes highly regarded
• Experience with MicroStation advantageous but not essential
• Proven experience delivering drawing packages for major road infrastructure projects
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring, quality delivery, and continuous improvement
