Job description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering land development and civil infrastructure projects across Perth.

You will be responsible for producing detailed civil designs, drawings, and cost estimates across earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage, traffic, and water/sewer reticulation projects. The role also involves providing technical advice, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and approvals, and supporting projects from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed civil design documentation, drawings, and cost estimates across a range of land development and civil infrastructure projects
  • Undertake design work across roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, traffic, and water/sewer reticulation networks
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, local authority requirements, and internal QA processes
  • Provide technical input, including problem-solving and development of practical engineering solutions
  • Coordinate effectively with engineers, drafters, and external service authorities to support seamless project delivery
  • Review drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission
  • Support projects through all stages, from concept and planning through to construction delivery
About You
  • 6–10 years’ experience in civil design within land development or civil infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and local authority requirements (ideally Perth-based projects)
  • Proven proficiency in 12d Model software is essential to be considered
  • Strong capability in civil drafting and design delivery across multi-disciplinary projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Confident working in a team environment while also delivering outputs independently when required
