Job description
We are looking for a Senior Project Officer to join client is a state-wide Government organisation.
Primary purpose of the role
Provide senior support in the development and implementation of sound governance and business management functions for the Centre for WHS including the coordination of people, planning, project management, information management, financial management and business performance reporting.
Key accountabilities
• Develop and implement efficient and comprehensive functional processes to provide high level business governance services that support the delivery of the objectives of the Centre for WHS.
• Manage the planning and delivery of business functions across the Centre working in collaboration with the stream leads to ensure service expectations are designed to meet needs.
• Provide a high level of administrative support services relating to business financials, performance, people resources, capability and systems
• Coordinate and manage resources, monitor and evaluate business support services, communicate outcomes and determine and implement improvement strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Support the governance and secretariat functions for the Centre for WHS governing body ensuring high-quality information, support and response to requests within agreed timeframes.
• Develop and implement awareness programs, provide guides and support resources including coaching to
ensure functional processes and systems are implemented confidently and consistently
• Implement and maintain Service Level Agreements/Service Partnership Agreements (SLAs/ SPAs) across
the business, coordinate contract performance and management reviews, work with key stakeholders on improvement strategies deliver cost-effective solutions
Key challenges:
• Consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders to achieve mutually agreeable solutions, within agreed timelines in newly established business functions.
• Ensuring fit for purpose policies, systems and processes support the delivery of strategic objectives
• Building a shared sense of direction and consistent level of service within a new operating environment

Pay rate: $60 - $80 per hour + super
Duration: 6 weeks contract with the view to extend
Location: WFH Hybrid opportunity - Parramatta & Gosford

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, prior government
- Can handle a high work-load environment with multiple and competing priorities
- Strong skills in Microsoft suites
- Have experience with the management and reporting of financial
- Must be double vaccinated
