Safety Coordinator - Civil Infrastructure Project, Blue Mountains
Our client, a principal contractor, is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join their team on a major civil infrastructure project in the Blue Mountains region. This is an immediate start opportunity offered on a temp/contract basis for 6+ months, with strong potential for extension.
 
About the role:
Working closely with the project's HSEQ and delivery teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining safety standards across a fast-paced civil construction environment.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support day-to-day site safety activities across the project
• Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
• Maintain SWMS, JSAs and other safety documentation
• Support subcontractor safety inductions and compliance monitoring
• Liaise with site management, engineers and supervisors to embed a positive safety culture
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and client-specific safety requirements

What you'll need:

• Previous experience as a Safety Coordinator/Advisor on civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels or similar)
• Certificate IV in WHS (or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and relevant codes of practice
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to site in the Blue Mountains
• White Card and relevant site safety inductions
