My client is currently seeking up to five experienced S26 Civil Supervisors to join their team delivering works across multiple Rio Tinto projects throughout Karratha and Tom Price.

These are immediate opportunities for experienced mining supervisors with a strong background in bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, and concrete construction. You will be responsible for leading civil crews and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of project scopes in a demanding Pilbara environment.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have successfully completed the WA Statutory Supervisor (S26) examination and hold a current S26 Supervisor qualification.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing FIFO work with a well-established contractor supporting major Rio Tinto operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising daily civil construction activities across bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, and concrete scopes.
Leading, coordinating, and mentoring site crews to achieve safe and productive outcomes.
Ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, schedules, and quality requirements.
Driving a strong safety culture aligned with Rio Tinto standards, site procedures, and company expectations.
Conducting daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and workforce planning activities.
Coordinating labour, plant, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to maintain productivity.
Monitoring progress against project schedules and identifying potential delays or improvements.
Ensuring compliance with environmental requirements, permits, and site-based procedures.
Maintaining accurate daily reporting, timesheets, inspections, and project documentation.
Working collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers, client representatives, and other site stakeholders.
Providing effective leadership and direction to ensure project milestones are achieved.

About You

Successfully completed the WA Statutory Supervisor (S26) examination and hold a current S26 Supervisor qualification (essential).
Demonstrated experience supervising civil construction activities within the mining and resources sector.
Proven experience managing bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, and concrete construction projects.
Previous experience working on Rio Tinto mine sites.
Current Rio Tinto inductions (essential).
Strong understanding of mining safety systems, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to lead and motivate site teams while maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
