Rail Project Engineer with ref. 2803584

Job description

Our client are a major rail contractor who have recently been awarded a number of major infrastructure projects and are in urgent need of specialist contract staff to assist in the delivery of projects to ensure deadlines, quality and commercials are met. They have identified an urgent need for a Project Engineer to assist in the delivery a medium scale rail upgrade involving civil & building construction, upgrading of OHW & HV systems and re-signalling.

On a day to day basis you will be expected to provide engineering support to the senior engineer on site and be responsible the preparation of project plans & schedules, the estimation of plant, materials & labour undertake 3rd party verification of constructed works. In addition to this you will be responsible for preparation of project management documentation and managing of work-site OH&S. As of the complex nature of the project you will be expected to interface with multidisciplinary teams giving you exposure to Track, Signalling, OHW & Civils.

This role is a 9 month contract to the duration of the project so applicants should be available to both interview and start immediately. We are keen to speak to Engineers with 3-5 years experience in Rail Sector with a valid RISI ticket to work in the rail corridor.
