Job description

This client side organisation within the transport sector have recently had an increase in their current project portfolio and coupled with an ongoing capital works program, they have identified a number of upcoming requirements for specialist contract staff. They have currently identified the need for a Project Officer to support one of their major work programs on a contract basis.

The two priority components to the role are:

1: Monitor, coordinate and report on the Track Defect Removal Program to ensure successful delivery of the Project objectives to reduce the level of defects requiring revision of completion dates (REVCOM) and the total number of defects in the P1 and P2 categories as defined in the relevant Track Standards

2: Provide high level administrative, research, organisational and project management support to the Project Management team including coordinate and comply with the end to end procurement and contractor administration activities. 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

• Good coordination or organisational abilities including managing own workload and working unsupervised
• Demonstrated experience in working in a complex multi-task environment to deadlines and under pressure
• A working knowledge of resourcing and competency processes and frameworks
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data/information
• Good verbal communication abilities and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate
• Highly skilled in the use of personal computers and related software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in the use of the SAP platform is desirable
