2-3 Month Contract | Brisbane Western Suburbs | Attractive Daily Rate + Company Ute
Our client is a leading utilities subcontractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality steel and HDPE pipeline solutions across the utilities sector. Due to an immediate requirement, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team on a 2-3 month contract to provide gap relief across a portfolio of smaller civil infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys being close to delivery, leading self-performed crews, and hitting the ground running.
The Role
Based across projects in Brisbane's Western Suburbs, you will take ownership of several smaller utility infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion. You will lead a dedicated team of engineers, supervisors and leading hands while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

The Role
Based across projects in Brisbane's Western Suburbs, you will take ownership of several smaller utility infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion. You will lead a dedicated team of engineers, supervisors and leading hands while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end project management of multiple civil utilities projects.
- Leading and mentoring a small team of engineers, supervisors and leading hands.
- Managing client relationships and project stakeholders.
- Monitoring programme, budget, productivity and commercial performance.
- Managing subcontractor and supplier interfaces where required.
- Identifying and managing project risks, delays and contractual obligations.
- Preparing and assessing EOTs, delay claims and production reporting.
- Driving safety, quality and environmental compliance across all works.
- Ensuring successful project delivery through self-performed construction teams.
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background delivering civil utilities projects within a subcontracting environment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on delivery role.
You will possess:
- Minimum 10 years' experience within Civil Construction.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager.
- Proven delivery of utilities infrastructure projects for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractor.
- Previous experience working for a self-performing civil subcontractor.
- Strong understanding of steel and/or HDPE pipeline construction.
- Demonstrated experience managing EOTs, project delays, production rates and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams.
- Ability to commence immediately and quickly integrate into an established project team.
- Immediate start.
