Civil Project Manager - Urban Development
 
Lead the delivery of major urban development projects up to $20M | Long-term SE QLD opportunity
We are currently working with a national civil contractor with over 50 years of successful operations across Australia. With a strong reputation for quality delivery and a genuine commitment to its people, the business is continuing to grow organically across South East Queensland.
 
Following a number of recent appointments to its senior leadership team, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Civil Project Manager to join the team on a full-time basis.

The Role
 
As Civil Project Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of urban development projects valued up to $20M, managing projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion.
The business primarily delivers subdivision and urban development projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland, with projects located on both the North and South sides of Brisbane.
 
Typical projects involve:

• Bulk earthworks
• Stormwater and underground utilities
• Sewer and water infrastructure
• Retaining walls
• Roadworks and pavements
• Subdivision infrastructure
• General civil and urban development works

You will be responsible for leading project teams, managing commercial and contractual outcomes, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
 
About You
 
We are looking to speak with experienced Civil Engineers who have at least 8 years' experience in civil construction, with a strong preference for candidates who have progressed into Project Management roles within the urban development sector.
 
Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience managing civil construction projects up to $20M
• A strong background in subdivision and urban development
• Experience across earthworks, utilities, retaining structures and pavements
• Strong commercial and contractual management skills
• The ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A strong understanding of project planning, programming and cost control
• A relevant Civil Engineering qualification
• A genuine desire to build a long-term career with one organisation

Candidates with a strong bulk earthworks background will also be considered, provided they have the broader project management capability and are looking to take the next step within urban development.
