The Opportunity
An established and growing commercial and architectural joinery business is expanding its Canberra operations and looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team.
This is a genuine end-to-end Project Management role, managing larger commercial joinery projects from contract award through to completion and handover.
You’ll work across high-quality commercial, architectural joinery, shopfitting and fit-out projects, coordinating builders, clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and internal design, manufacturing and installation teams.

The Role
You’ll take full ownership of your projects, including:

• Managing projects from award through to handover
• Managing programmes, budgets, costs and project profitability
• Coordinating design, drafting, procurement, manufacturing and installation
• Managing builders, clients, architects, subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing variations, EOTs and commercial risks
• Coordinating factory production and site installation
• Monitoring programme, quality and project performance
• Managing defects, completion and final handover
• Providing leadership across the project team

This is not a site-based supervisory role. It’s an opportunity to take genuine ownership of the commercial, operational and delivery outcomes of your projects.

About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded Project Manager with experience in:

• Commercial or architectural joinery
• Shopfitting, commercial fit-out or interiors
• Managing multiple projects from start to finish
• Project budgets, programmes and commercial outcomes
• Variations, contracts and stakeholder management
• Coordinating design, manufacturing and site installation
• Reading architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation

You may currently be working as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Construction Manager, Project Coordinator or Project Engineer.
Most importantly, you’ll be organised, commercially astute and confident dealing with builders, clients and project stakeholders.
