About the Company
Our client is a well-established commercial interior construction company operating across NSW and Victoria. With over 20 years of industry experience, they specialise in:

- Partition systems
- Suspended ceilings and ceiling grid installations
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong technical knowledge of partitioning and ceiling systems to join their team.
The Role
This is a hands-on Project Management role responsible for delivering multiple commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This role requires someone who understands partitions and ceiling fixing inside-out, from programming and procurement through to installation sequencing and site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Manage multiple strip-out, partition and ceiling projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain project programs and schedules
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Monitor site progress, productivity, and quality
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Plan installation sequencing for partition and ceiling systems
- Identify and mitigate constructability risks
- Provide technical support to site teams
- Ensure works comply with Australian Standards and NCC/BCA
- Manage project budgets and track financial performance
- Prepare and assess variations
- Approve subcontractor claims and invoices
- Oversee procurement and material ordering
- Maintain cost control across all stages of the project
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and consultants
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and reporting
- Ensure WHS compliance across all assigned projects
- Maintain site documentation including SWMS
- Conduct site inspections and promote a strong safety culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Minimum 3-5+ years' experience as a Project Manager within commercial fit-out or interiors
- Strong hands-on experience with partitioning and suspended ceiling systems
- Background in commercial interior construction
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong understanding of build sequencing and trade coordination
- Solid commercial acumen and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Trade background (Carpentry / Ceiling Fixing / Shopfitting) highly regarded
- Experience in strip-outs and make-good projects
- Exposure to project management systems (Procore, Smartsheets or similar)
