Location: Major City Infrastructure Project
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Engagement Type: Contract (PAYG or Pty Ltd)
Rate: $700/day + Super
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join a major city-based infrastructure project on a 4-month contract basis, supporting the successful close-out of works. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project while working with a leading tier contractor.
About the Role
As a site-based Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering the final stages of a complex urban infrastructure project. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

About the Role
As a site-based Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering the final stages of a complex urban infrastructure project. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site engineering operations and provide technical support to the delivery team
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site crews
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design, specifications, and quality standards
- Manage inspections, testing, and close-out documentation
- Monitor progress against program and assist with short-term planning
- Maintain accurate site records, including diaries and reports
- Liaise with stakeholders, including internal teams and external parties
- Report directly to the Senior Engineer on site
You will be involved in the delivery and close-out of urban realm works, including:
- Footpaths and pedestrian areas
- Kerbs and gutters
- Drainage systems
- Street lighting
- Concrete works
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in civil construction
- Experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractor
- Proven background in site/project engineering roles on infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of urban civil works and construction methodologies
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced site environment
