Are you a Project Engineer looking to play a key role on one of Australia's most significant energy projects?
Our client is a well-established mid-tier civil contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex civil infrastructure projects across Australia. Operating across sectors including highways, bridges, rail, renewable energy and major infrastructure, they successfully deliver projects valued between $5 million and $50 million, acting as both Principal Contractor and specialist subcontractor.
Following the award of a complex Concrete package on a once-in-a-generation energy project, they are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Opportunity
Working on a 2/1 FIFO roster from any major East Coast city, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a technically challenging FRP package within a large-scale energy project. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and site team, taking ownership of project engineering activities while helping drive programme, quality, safety and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day project engineering activities.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including ITPs, SWMS, RFIs and inspection records.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor construction progress against programme and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with design specifications and quality requirements.
- Assist with procurement, planning and cost control.
- Manage technical queries and liaise with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of strong HSEQ outcomes across the project.
- Contribute to project reporting, forecasting and commercial performance.
To be successful, you will bring:
- A degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
- 3+ years' post-graduate experience as a Project Engineer within the civil construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex FRP packages on major infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes and project controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- A resilient and driven attitude, with the flexibility to work in a remote FIFO environment.
- A willingness to contribute within a growing mid-tier contractor where adaptability and initiative are highly valued.
