Salary: Up to $145,000 + Super + Car + $100/day tax-free LAFHA

The Opportunity
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join a thriving national specialist Piling & Ground Engineering contractor at the forefront of Queensland's infrastructure boom.
 
This dynamic business delivers technically complex and bespoke engineering projects across a range of sectors including rail, roads, energy and renewables. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for self-performing specialist construction activities, they offer an excellent platform for an ambitious engineer looking to build a genuine long-term career within the specialist contracting sector.
 
The business has recently been awarded a major project involving the early stages of a Dam Upgrade approximately 120km outside Brisbane, and as a result they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
 
The Role
 
Reporting into the Project Management team, you will provide hands-on site engineering expertise and be responsible for the day-to-day project engineering requirements across the project.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing engineering support across all stages of project delivery.
• Managing day-to-day technical and engineering requirements on site.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, ITPs and project documentation.
• Supporting construction planning, methodology and sequencing.
• Working closely with site supervisors, project managers, subcontractors and clients.
• Managing technical queries and ensuring engineering solutions are delivered effectively.
• Assisting with QA, quality documentation and compliance.
• Monitoring project progress, productivity and performance.
• Supporting procurement, subcontractor management and commercial processes.
• Maintaining accurate project records and reporting.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

This is a site-based role where you will play a key part in the successful delivery of a technically challenging infrastructure project.
 
About You
 
We are looking to speak with Project Engineers who are serious about building a long-term career with a specialist contractor and who enjoy working in a hands-on construction environment.
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience.
• Experience within civil construction, infrastructure, piling, ground engineering or another technically complex construction environment.
• Strong technical and engineering capability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively with site teams, management, clients and subcontractors.
• A hardworking, proactive and driven attitude.
• The resilience and maturity to work a 17/4 DIDO roster.
• The physical and mental robustness required to work on a remote infrastructure project.
• A genuine desire to establish a long-term career in Australia.
• A willingness to work away from your home base and become an integral part of a project team.

Experience with piling, ground improvement, foundations, dams or other specialist civil/infrastructure projects would be highly regarded, although candidates from broader civil construction backgrounds with the right attitude and technical capability will also be considered.
