Project Engineer – Contract | Fit-Out & Refurbishment Contract role | Sydney | Immediate start
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-established Tier 1/2 commercial builder on a contract basis.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer with fit-out and refurbishment experience who is comfortable coming into a project during the final stages and helping drive it through to successful completion.
The Role Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will play a key role in finishing off a commercial fit-out/refurbishment project, managing technical and project-related matters through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the project
• Managing technical coordination and project documentation
• Coordinating subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and RFIs
• Assisting with variations, procurement and subcontractor management
• Managing project documentation and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
• Assisting with defects, commissioning and project close-out
• Working with the site team to resolve outstanding construction issues
• Helping drive the project through the final stages to practical completion

About You To be considered, you will have:

• Project Engineer experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder
• Strong experience across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Previous experience finishing off a project and taking it through to completion
• Good technical construction knowledge and strong attention to detail
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to hit the ground running and work independently
• A solid understanding of project documentation, RFIs, variations and defects/close-out
