Project Engineer - Civil Infrastructure | Western Sydney | Daily Rate | Immediate Start for 3-6 Month Contract
The Opportunity
CGC Recruitment is working with a leading civil infrastructure contractor to source an experienced Project Engineer for an immediate start on a major project in Western Sydney. This is a contract engagement offering a competitive daily rate for the right candidate.
You'll be embedded in a high-performing delivery team working across earthworks, deep excavation, and concrete packages, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager on a fast-paced, technically demanding project.

You'll be embedded in a high-performing delivery team working across earthworks, deep excavation, and concrete packages, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager on a fast-paced, technically demanding project.
The Role
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Engineering delivery and coordination across earthworks, deep excavation, and structural concrete packages
- Preparation and management of ITPs, SWMS, and NCRs to ensure quality and compliance on site
- Raising and tracking RFIs, coordinating design queries and technical submittals with the client and design team
- Supporting the commercial team with EOTs, progress claims, and programme monitoring
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project stakeholders to maintain programme and scope alignment
- Assisting with the preparation of method statements and construction sequencing documentation
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, ideally with exposure to earthworks, deep excavation, or structural concrete works
- Strong understanding of construction documentation including ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, and SWMS
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background preferred
