Due to a busy period and increased project demands, our client, a highly regarded Tier 2 builder, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a 2-month contract. You will be supporting the delivery of a significant new-build construction project, working closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of project activities
- Manage subcontractor packages and monitor progress against programme
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
- Coordinate RFIs, shop drawings, and design-related queries
- Support procurement activities and material scheduling
- Monitor quality assurance processes and defect management
- Assist with project reporting, cost tracking, and contract administration
- Ensure compliance with project safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Liaise with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain project momentum
- Bachelor of Construction Management or Engineering
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
- Proficiency in tools, equipment, and technology relevant to the role
- Understanding of quality assurance and defect management
- Familiarity with project delivery processes, including programming, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration
- Previous experience working on commercial new-build construction projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced project environment
