Project Engineer – Contract Role | Tier 2 Builder | Major New Build Project
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer for an immediate contract opportunity with a well-established Tier 2 builder delivering large-scale commercial construction projects.
This role is suited to a driven construction professional with proven experience working for reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders on complex new build projects valued at $50M+.
The Role Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark construction project from structure through to finishes and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing subcontractor coordination and site activities
Procurement and letting of trade packages
Programme tracking and short-term planning
Cost control, forecasting, and variations
QA documentation and compliance management
Reviewing shop drawings and RFIs
Supporting project delivery to programme and budget
Stakeholder coordination across consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives
Driving safety and construction quality outcomes on site

About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess:

Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder
Strong exposure to new build construction projects valued at $50M and above
Background across commercial, mixed-use, health, education, residential, or large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong technical and contractual understanding
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
Relevant construction or engineering qualifications
