Our client is a state-wide Government agency within the Transport sector who operate across Sydney and NSW. They work supporting road maintenance and construction projects.
Primary purpose of the role
The Project Development Officer is responsible for supporting the early development of road and bridge infrastructure projects through to completion of the detailed concept design and environmental approval.
This is an initial 3 months role with the view of an extension.
You will be working on road infrastructure upgrades in the NW regional of Sydney, so local knowledge would be advantageous.

Key accountabilities
- Work effectively within large project teams to support project development staff in achieving optimum project development outcomes.
- Provide project support services to Project Development staff by contributing to the development, analysis, review and evaluation of options to ensure high quality, cost-effective and functional project outcomes.
- Assist with project scoping activities and draft project development briefs to support the delivery of high-quality project documentation and business cases.
- Assist Project Development staff with regular, timely and accurate quality assurance reporting, programming and cost forecasting.
- Provide timely and accurate advice to stakeholders regarding project development to contribute to project success.
- Achieving project deliverables to agreed deadlines and milestones to the required standards and targets within budget.
- Recommending and delivering innovative process improvement activities across project business processes and systems to ensure a high standard of project development.
- Incorporating a customer-centric approach to enable continuous connection with customer, community and business goals and priorities.
