Job description

Due to several major project wins in the area of Rail Civil Design, one of the world’s leading consultancies require a Principal Civil Engineer to join the Civil Infrastructure team in Sydney.
  
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and talented Civil Engineer to join a major design consultancy that are very well positioned on major rail projects such as the Sydney Metro.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  
  • Design Management, delivering projects to clients' satisfaction at the appropriate standard
  • Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations
  • Manage the preparation of civil engineering deliverables, bringing together the contributions from other specialist areas of the business.
  • Ensuring accuracy of drawings and calculations
  • Ensuring designs are economic and appropriate and that the relevant codes and standards are complied with
  • Build and continue strong relationships
  • Guide and teach Engineers
  
Requirements:
  • 10-15 years' experience specialising in the rail industry,
  • Highly experienced in rail infrastructure, undergrounds and/or metro / light rail networks
  • Ideally your technical skills will include experience in the design of depots and/or stations
  • BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Experience of brownfield rail corridors, stations and/or depot design.
  • Experience of working on design of large infrastructure projects within Rail sector
