My client is seeking an experienced Permit Advisor to join their site based Safety Team on a major construction project in Alkimos.
This is a short-term opportunity providing leave coverage, ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong permit-to-work experience in large-scale construction environments.

The Permit Advisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the acquisition and administration of permits and approvals required for project activities. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations while supporting safe and efficient project delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to maintain high standards in permit control and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Permit Administration
- Support the Permit Coordinator in the daily management of the Permit to Work (PTW) system
- Review and process construction PTW applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Enter and maintain detailed permit data within the central database
- Review Risk Assessments to ensure they are task-specific, compliant, and approved by HSE
- Liaise with permit applicants to ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant
- Coordinate approvals across relevant disciplines
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide timely updates and accurate information to project teams
- Manage the permit database for tracking, recording, and archiving permits
- Maintain accurate records of permits, correspondence, and safety inspections
- Conduct site walks and PTW audits to verify compliance with permit conditions and controls
- Coordinate training bookings and manage attendance records
- Maintain training registers and authorisations
- Deliver basic training on PTW systems and procedures to personnel
- Proven experience in a Permit Advisor / Permit Officer / PTW role within major construction projects
- Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems and safety compliance requirements
- Experience reviewing risk assessments and working with HSE teams
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to work both in an office and on-site environment
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 10-week contract
- Location: Alkimos, WA (on-site)
- Hours: 10 hours per day
- Roster: Monday to Friday, with occasional half-day Saturdays
- Rate: $55 Per Hour + Super
