Job description
We are partnering with a fast-growing fire protection and remedial business delivering passive fire solutions across commercial, residential and industrial sectors throughout Sydney.
As part of their continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager with a strong passive fire background to take full ownership of projects from initial quote through to completion.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who combines solid technical knowledge of passive fire protection with the ability to manage clients, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders — all while keeping projects on time, on budget and fully compliant.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in the business, overseeing passive fire projects across remediation, compliance upgrades and new installations.
Responsibilities will include:
• Managing passive fire projects end-to-end, from quotation through to completion
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with builders, strata managers, consultants and clients
• Preparing quotations, variations and project costings
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Managing project timelines, procurement and scheduling
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring all works meet Australian Standards and NCC requirements
• Monitoring project budgets and overall commercial performance
• Keeping stakeholders informed throughout the full project lifecycle
• Upholding quality assurance, safety compliance and documentation standards
• Supporting operational growth and contributing to improvements in project delivery systems
About You
Our client is looking for a confident, organised professional who can lead projects with authority while maintaining strong relationships across clients and teams.
• Proven experience managing passive fire or fire protection projects
• Solid knowledge of passive fire systems, fire stopping and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated ability to prepare quotations and manage project budgets
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and diverse stakeholder groups
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Confidence reading plans, specifications and technical documentation
• Experience with project management or compliance software
• A trade background in construction, carpentry, plastering or fire protection (advantageous)
What's on Offer
• $130,000 – $160,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
• Car allowance / Work Vehicle
• Phone and laptop provided
• Clear pathway into senior operations leadership
• Genuine autonomy and influence within a growing division
• Supportive team culture backed by strong systems and structure
• A genuine opportunity to grow with a respected and ambitious business
