Job description

One of the worlds leading real estate and facilities management advisory firms are seeking a facilities supervisor/coordinator to join their team at a leading shopping centre in Sydney's West.

Reporting into a facilities manager with a dotted line to a senior operations manager, you will be responsible for delegation of works to a small team of hands on maintenance officers, and multiple contractors. This role is very hard services focused, and you will often be the first point of call for any reactive maintenance issues across the centre. 

Other Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Facilities Manager with maintaining the presentation and operational function of the centre to a high standard
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, participate in operational contract reviews and monthly meetings to achieve industry best practice in building management
  • Work with Operations and Facilities Manager to establish and implement sustainability initiatives

To be successful in this role you will have a trade qualification, or a very very strong background in hard facilities management. This is a supervisory and coordination role, but there is the expectation that you might have to help out from time to time, and you certainly need to have the expertise to fault find and diagnose issues on site. Retail shopping centre experience is also a prerequisite for the position.
